Is there anything that can be done with old 6112s, other than toss them?

It looks like by the time Bilstein rebuilds them, you have spent almost as much as buying a new set.

Bin 'em. I dabbled in trying to rebuild them as well. It's not worth it!

Thank you, but I am 99% sure I need to replace the shock as well. They have been on since around new, almost 9 years ago.

I meant to say that too. You have the last Gen 6112s so depending on how much you drive there’s a solid chance they’re smoked.

I have 100k, bought at around 2016, maybe 17. Truck had 69 miles when I bought it.. Can't remember exactly when... they are smocked, for sure

Not wildly, but they are. The internals are revised, the body has more granular adjustment, and they’re now clear coated for better rust resistance.

    Good to know, thanks.

I think I will get the new ones... Seems to be on point, price wise, with anything else in its class.

Plus, I can fine tune the height better. I just looked them up and ya, having a few more adjustments would be nice.

If stock measurements are 21 front and 22 rear, center cap to fender, I am 22 front and 24 rear... so dialing that back in should not be too hard if the ride higher chart is accurate

One more question: Given these are an update to my old 6112, I assume the lift numbers on the chart are figured with the stock ride height of 21 front, center cap to fender and 22 rear center cap to fender...

I want to get my front just a little higher to match my rear better at 24 center cap to fender. My front is 22.

I think I will go with clip position 9 and 7 per the chart.

Im often wrong and I got my my shocks and coils preassembled, but I'm pretty sure mine were only one notch different as opposed to two.

    Interesting...

Hopefully others are more familiar and add some input...

    Thanks for your help.

How much lift did you get if you are on 11/9 notch?

I still want some rake in my truck, so this is why I am looking for a slightly lower setting based on my measurements

Hate to say I didn't measure the before and after. I did measure the after eventually. I'll go take a measurement so I don't make an ass of myself again. I got a deaver leaf pack (expedition? And first option) and it's settled to where I still have a slight rake. Not as much as I first had but I'm still happy as I wanted to keep a rake as well and the bed doesn't sag with any of the loads or trailers I put on it.

FD center of wheel straight vertical to fender guard 22 and 3/4". RD 23 1/4" to bottom most of fender guard.

Both some what accurate but also rough approximations.

It settled a bit more in the rear, but without looking at ride hight specifics I can still tell it's raked. Though not as much as right after install, which I thought was super happy with as it was exactly what I envisioned. First pic where it's at now. Second after install.

I checked my measurements and I am 22 1/2 in the front, both sides, and 24 rear.

What do you have in the rear for lift? Full pack, AAL?

Deaver and don't quote me on this; expedition 1st option. Also I'm drunk and just did a rough measurement. I tried to measure vertical from the wheel (on a hill). If I went to the center part of the fender guards it would be a larger measurement.

I don't have the specifics, but I did measure the truck hight in the middle of truck before and after and it was above 2" there. I do remember that.
