Swapping out the entire wiring harness on my 2021 Tacoma.

I looked at your photo more closely. This part of the dash also comes off. I *think* there is a screw or nut behind there.

 

Been there multiple times, but not on a Tacoma. Are there different harnesses based on options, or are they all the same for a given year?

 

I know you are into it already but, my opinion, use the spare harness to splice the ends back on the affected circuits. It can be done much easier than removing the entire harness. Done correctly, it will last the life of the vehicle.

One more thing. Previous owner took a straight razor and cut the headlight wires that are connected to the engine room main wire harness part number
82111-04L11
. I really don’t want to replace the entire harness due to the high cost of a brand new harness ($2,500). How would I go about getting the headlight attachments and splicing the wires since they are attached to the wiring harness?
