I continue to have issues with connecting my iphone to the Tacoma system. Very sporadic and sometimes I have to totally disconnect it and reconnect it. Would prefer that it connect automatically when I get into the truck.

If you are referring to CarPlay, I’ve noticed it get a little wonky if your phone loses connection after you turn the truck on, whether that be auto start or maybe you forgot something in the house and go back inside out of range of the truck. To fix this all you have to do is restart the radio by pushing and hold the power (volume) know for like 5 seconds. It’ll reboot and 100% of the time my phone will connect.

Another tidbit is to remember that Bluetooth and WiFi both have to be on for a stable connection. I must be fortunate as I have not experienced the issue you described in my 2017 TRD OR with the Hamilton Motor Company module.

What iOS are you on? 18.4 had problems where CarPlay would flake out often. It’s now 18.5 and CarPlay is much more stable.
