Absolutely, my stepdad had a lab that was in a similar situation and the meds made it night and day for her. She made it awhile with them so I hope you have a very similar response. Deciding on when is “the right time” is hard but I feel like there comes a time where it just clicks and you know it. Doesn’t hurt any less but you know inside it’s right for the pup. Lots of good people here in the forum and we all love hearing stories of pups so if you need some support from strangers, you know a good spot!

That is funny! And I mean in a good way. But things like personal space, meal sharing, sleeping--it's an adjustment :)

just a couple of things tbh
its been two weeks now since lilly has been on her cancer and pain meds. there is a lot of side effects sadly... she is still around and the pain meds have helped a lot but i dont think the cancer meds have slowed it down as much as we expected... we can now see the tumors pushing out so no wonder she was in so much pain.... lately she has changed mentally a bit and has become more nippy and bity and grumpy towards eevee.

yes eevee can be a massive pain in the ass because heeler energy but even just walking by lilly is getting angry so mentally she is a bit different now. she now chatters her teeth a lot and gets nervous really easily, she is drinking loads of water which is normal for the meds but she cant take that much her body is telling her to intake... so she is starting to have accidents and vomit up water if she gets to much.. we have limited her water to the amount she needs and not much more to keep her from getting sick. sadly she is loosing bladder control and we have had a lot of small accidents from her being asleep or even being awake where she just lets it go basically...

so ya just kinda going day by day the good thing is she has energy to walk around more and is happy at least.

Damn, sorry you're going through this. Sucks, but it sounds like you're doing the best you can. The end of their lives is just the worst. Keep up the good work and give her all the love you can. :fistbump:
