Hey mike, either way will work. In all honesty, it really depends upon how much you want to spend. The one that goes in between the transfer case and the frame can be a little bit cheaper. And it matches up with the Part of the exhaust before it gets to the flange that attaches to the rest of the exhaust. That way, it does impede a little bit of airflow, but not much. A lot of people like taking the longer way around and go around the transfer case for esthetic purposes and Smoother airflow and it can be a little bit more expensive. It really depends on where you go. I personally got the one that it went in between the frame cross member and the Transfer case.

 

There will be no performance gain/loss either way. Remember just downstream of this it needs to go through your muffler. The only reason to go number 2 that I see is if you want to go with a flatbelly kit for skids. Ill be going #2 with this kit.

Thanks guys. Was leaning towards the option where it goes well behind the tcase because of concerns about having the pipe too close to the tcase and overheating, but it seems that isnt an issue.

Appreciate the feedback. Heading to pops exhaust on 6/2 to have it done. Its been on my to do list for at least two years. Have had the tcase and tranny skids just sitting on a shelf in my basement..
