I wouldn't buy that kinda stuff from Amazon etc. It's concerning to hear a shop may have gotten fakes. I always get that kinda stuff from big retailers like biketiresdirect, worldwide, universal.

Mine. Someone make an offer. I have a Troy Lee D3? Helmet worn less than 15 times also. And I’ll throw in other bike stuff if you want. Spare fasthouse gloves. A pivot jersey. Have some 5.10 shoes that are 10.5 I believe. Bottle of sealant etc

Sometime in the next few months I’m off to Newport Rhode Island for OCS then flight school in Florida to start

woulda kept it if I was going to Phoenix. Would be perfect

There’s plenty in the northeast where that bike would be fun!

OCS is only 13–16 weeks and its officer court camp basically. My schedule will be structured 99.9% of the time while I’m there. Two years of flight school is all Pensacola, Corpus Christi, or meridian Mississippi. Also don’t want to be moving a bike around. And will likely live on base until after flight school for simplicity sake

Interesting. I was looking at those Orbea's.. Not sure if it's the shitacular engagement combo'd with the Ebike motor... or that hub is really that terrible. It'll probably last forever haha

Lets go, think I found my people! Really a mountain biker but got into vehicles out of necessity. Feel like basis of this thread is rigs loaded, so heres some of my best ones.

Think this might be record for most people and bikes in AC taco, 13 people and bikes.
94 rolla perfect weekend camp rig
Clutch kick with 7 bikes in tow.

My old AC died so the project during march this year was to manual swap a DCLB for good road trip and shuttle rig. Cant wait to get that thing loaded up!

    Excited to chat bikes!

it was hectic but fun, mainly cause I was solo in drivers seat XD

My new dclb im really gonna have to see the number we can jam in there, It has a front hitch, so that opens up a world of opportunity for bikes. I also got a ratty bench seat for super cheap from a regular cab to maybe bench seat swap it. Looking into that now. Goal always more meatheads in one rig, its a fun little game.

I signed up for Royal Gorge 12 hour in Canon City, Colorado, last Saturday as a solo 12 hour rider. What a big undertaking that I did not understand. After riding Pikes Peak Apex last year, I wanted something challenging, but in one day. A 12 hour solo sounded like the perfect event.

I was in Austin earlier in the week for work and felt the dh laps at spider were something that would help. While riding Apex the year before, I felt my forearms get fatigued real fast but climbing and sustained efforts weren't as bad. I started to feel a bit sick with some congestion, headaches, and a small cough the last couple days in Austin.

The course was about 10 miles with about 1000 feet of climbing and descending. The first couple miles were up then down on a fast flowy trail. The 3rd mile was rolling up and down. Miles 4 and 5 were looser with some punchy climbs up and over features. Not a lot of tree coverage here either. Mile 6 was more uphill with an aid station at the top of the road. Mile 7 wasn't bad, a few steep switchbacks and some bigger rocks to power over. Miles 8 and 9 weren't bad, pretty flowy back to the transition tent.

My wife went down with me around noon Friday to get a camping spot. I thought it was going to be insanely busy, but there were 2 areas you could camp at. We picked the lower one, farther from the transition tent, because the views were better, it was less busy, we had our dog, and some friends were coming in later that night so we needed a couple spots to hold down.

Well the first 2 laps weren't bad. I definitely paced myself trying to keep my heart rate under 140. My wife met me between laps with water and snacks. Water refill, eat some fruit, grab a bottle of skratch and keep going. Lap 3 started to hurt. My pace slowed down pretty hard. I could feel my quads when I had to get out of the saddle to power over rocks and steps. I had to take a break after lap 3 and went back to camp for 20ish minutes. It was nice to sit down, use the theragun, suck down fluids, and just eat.

Lap 4 wasn't bad. Could definitely feel fatigue, but much better than lap 3. Felt strong through the start, then I got to mile 4. I hated miles 4 and 5. They really sucked the energy out. Lap 4 finished, I refilled my bottle at the transition tent, then went for lap 5. Lap 5 wasn't bad. Still getting tired. Could feel the fatigue even more, but manageable. Then I got to mile 4. I hated mile 4. Mile 5 was pretty much the same. These 2 miles really hit hard. The rest of the lap wasn't bad, but starting to feel squirrelly. Decided I was going to take another break after lap 5.

I took like 45-60 minutes at camp. Sucked down as much fluid as I could, a coke, a red bull, more high carb skratch. Ate random stuff, berries, cookies, donuts, pasta salad. I still had about 4 hours to get laps in, so I went back and did lap 6.

Lap 6 felt almost as good as lap one. The first climb and descent felt great. Then I got to mile 4. Same story. I could feel a lot of energy, but could tell I was losing focus. I felt almost like a fire hose or a bottle rocket. Like I could power through features, but my line choice would be way off and had to dab a few times to not fall off the trail or into a cactus. Given the close calls, I decided this was my last lap.

Overall it was a ton of fun. Great to push myself and ride all day. I don't think I'll do another 12 hour solo like this. A duo for sure, but we'll see.

Amazing to see so many riders out there of all ages. A number of 40+ and 60+ guys did more laps than me, lol. Very impressive.

A couple years ago, me and three other guys signed up for a team of 4, but the event got rained out. They did a team of 3 this year and got 3 laps in each. It was tough for all of us lol. It was a great time though.

Early adopter. I need to rebuild my old AXS Reverb so I figured I might as well try the new one.

I'm not jumping on the wireless train until they fix the whole battery situation. That shit looks ridiculous to me and I will 100% break it off at some point.

    not enough.
wireless dropper always scared me because, in theory, it just takes 1 allen key and like....1 turn... and someone walks off with an expensive dropper. granted, a lot of things youc an do that with on a bike but, droppers are just so expensive.

Didn't even think of that but I tend not to leave my bikes unattended for any reason. They could add some encryption where you have to have your original remote unlock it or something? :pccoffee:

Been on the wireless bandwagon for a few years now. So far, the only issues I've had is one AXS derailleur that bricked (replaced by SRAM no questions asked). I have it on a few bikes. I can't imagine going back to cables and I'm a retro kinda dude.

I have two of the original AXS droppers, been trouble free over 4 yrs, kinda like'em. That being said I'm not a fan of the new design, aesthetically. Most likely works as good or better and comes in longer drop options this time around, just don't like the looks. When the time comes to replace what I have i'll need to get past that, cause I like the clean look with one less cable and the operation of the post.

For the record I also have two bikes with cable actuated posts, both WolfTooth and I really like them also, a lot. So not really an AXS only type of guy.

My gravel bike is AXS, first time having it and I added a Reverb dropper a month after buying it. Install and setup were easy but getting the saddle in the same position/angle on the new seatpost, after a lot of time dialing it in on the fixed post, took a while. Now I wish I had splurged for AXS on my Ibis that I had bought 6 months before the Diverge. I’m not sure about the battery location on the new version though …
