I want to see the AAV.

Someone is going to believe he's the star that can elevate their team. They might not even be wrong. This Leafs team isn't Marners, it's Shannys, and the Shanaplan is over.

With Marner gone and Matthews potentially permanently maimed, it'll be interesting to see if they reload, do nothing, or blow it up.

Has to be it for this era of the Leafs. Shanahan should be shown the door. Assuming they walk away from Marner, Tavares, Pacioretty. I think they need to go full scorched earth rebuild but am not sure how they would do it, most of their defense is locked up for the next few years. Tanev and Rielly have NMCs. Could Matthews and/or Nylander be moved? They both have NMCs but probably wouldn't mind a change of scenery.

Probably going to be the most interesting team to watch during the off season. Is it possible to tear the team down enough over the summer to be in contention for Gavin McKenna in 2026?

Money and environment seem like prohibitive factors for Marner going to Vancouver. An American market seems more likely. He needs to get out of the spotlight

Ah never mind, I didn't realize they don't have any 1st round picks for the next three drafts lol. That is rough.

Yup. I can't blame Brad either. He had to make the effort to try and get this team into a position to win. Laughton and Carlo are players with upside skill and term, you can't get that without trading high picks.

If Carolina gets rolled by the Panthers, I believe they'll make a +100 million plus offer for Marner.

It's early to predict who's gonna be in the Final.

I'm a West Coast fan and like the Oilers.

Agreed, I think with that much talent you have to go for it.

I'm stoked theres been very few stars games that weren't even entertaining. Even some of the losses have been damn good playoff hockey. Queue the Panterra if our 3rd and 4th line can warm up even a little bit compared to the first 10 games of playoffs

I was waiting for the Canes to score but they couldn't find the back of the net.

    Them Panthers were Beasts!

Seems like their goals were un-stoppable...Amazing!

Oilers and Stars are at it tonight!

Very disappointing performance by the Canes after they had breezed through the Devils and the Caps. I had hoped for a rematch of 2006 Canes-Oilers game where the Canes won the Stanley Cup.

Yeah and scoring 10 goals in 2 games on a great defensive team is pretty wild. They just have playoff hockey down to an art, that's it. Also the East just has weaker teams overall. Last five years or so has really just been all Tampa and Florida

Last 10 years the East has won the Stanley Cup 7 out of 10 times.
Last 5 years it’s been only Colorado and Vegas winning it for the West.
East has weaker teams is nonsense.

That is a ridiculous thing to say. The East has been dominant since Chicago was good.

I'm thinking about overall conference strength the last few years. Not cup wins over the last 10-15 years. A Florida based team has been to the finals every year the past five years and won the cup three out of those five times. To me the East looks like a top-heavy conference right now. If Florida doesn't go to the finals I don't think any other team from the East is a huge danger to the top teams in the West. Also, you have teams like Montreal and NJ getting into the playoffs this year with 91 pts, while the bubble teams in the West are pushing 97 pts. Weaker may not be the right word, but I do think the West is deeper at the moment
