Not familiar with the 2017 but do you have the switch under the dash that allows the TPMS computer to relearn the pressures?

By lowering the tire pressure you’re not letting the suspension do its job. You are creating a more pliable or squishy tire sidewall. The low pressure of the tire creates a smoother ride, but it really does nothing for the suspension. I would suspect with pressures as low as 25 psi, you’re will see some uneven tire wear.

    Good tip thanks.

The relearn psi button thing has never worked for me. Tried a few times and used the manual instructions.

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
Your suspension is going to be on the stiff side, you are driving around with an unloaded bed, your leafs won’t be flexing to much. You have the right idea running lower pressures when your not towing or loaded down
I run 35 front 32 rear most times on pavement.
Try doing the chalk test to see about uneven tire wear.

Just did this last week. Nomad Convoys, Utility gray. Trail Terrain 265/70/17. Love them so far. Been handling the snow and slush pretty good here in Michigan. No rubbing so far that I can tell. But i has been a bit chilly here, so the windows have not been down to much.

    Work in progress...
Going on year 3 with the KO 2's 275/70 17s. I learned to air them down to around 26lbs, cold, when empty. I still don't like them but ...yeah I really don't like them. They are in great shape with only about 20,000 miles on them. I think I will be getting new tires. Nice talk...

Skip those and the KO2s and go for the 3’s

Decided on these for my 4th set of tires. 265/75 16s, and discount tire priced matched Costco's OTD price.
I got to test them out in a major snow storm that hit the Sierras over the weekend.

    Incredible snow and ice performance.
I've had Good year adventure, Wildpeak AT3s, and goodyear ultraterrains before, but these Trail Terrains blow those out of the water in terms of winter traction. It feels as if I'm running dedicated snows.

Slightly better gas mileage and quiet on the road.
I heard these tires suck in rain though, but haven't experienced anything too bad yet.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I believe these Trail Terrains are what is coming stock on the 2024 TRD OR in 265/70R17.

Swapped out my old Falken Wildpeak AT3s 265/70/17 for some BFG Trail Terrain 265/70/17. Thanks to this thread for the helpful feedback / photos. So far (I’ve only driven them home) the difference I can tell is they are smooth and super quiet compared to the Wildpeaks, but the Wildpeaks were getting pretty worn out so not really a fair comparison at all. They look much less aggressive in person than the wildpeaks as well.

I almost got these put on a month ago. Decided to stick with KO2. Many people here say those suck in the rain as well, but I’ve been running the BFG all-terrain for almost 30 years, and I’ve never had an issue or complaint.

Does anyone have long-term feedback on rain performance, tread life, and road noise?

Currently running 265/70 17 (SL) Falken Wildpeak AT3. The rain performance is great, they are basically done at 41,000 miles (4/32), and the road noise increased significantly as they wore. Overall I like the tire a lot but I don't "need" an A/T tire that aggressive. I would still like something that has a more aggressive-looking sidewall.

I'm looking at the BFG trail terrain or just getting the AT4 and see if the wear and noise are better.

I'll bet these are buttery smooth on the pavement. Almost like Michelin ltx ms/2's, but with a tad more sidewall.

I went with the KO3's and have no regrets. Great all around tire with good traction on wet roads.
