1985 Honda Z50R was my first bike as well. I still have it in fact. I got it for Christmas that year, which made our already long winters up here drag out even longer. I'd sit on that thing out in our unheated porch, waiting, hoping , dreaming.

Do you just wear normal jeans, or riding jeans? And have you thought of purpose built riding pants (for either over the pants or without an underlayer)?

I look at the all the time on fb marketplace wishing I had one
My dad made me ride it in the hallway before letting me outside. I had a small dirt 8-track in the back yard for my go-kart. I threw some coveralls on, wool gloves and took off. I wonder how many miles I actually put on that little bike.

i have looked into riding pants yes but when im out riding around im riding for comfort dont like baggy stuff or bulky shit it drives me nuts! thats why im looking for something i can wear over my jeans when going to work.

I know scrubs aren't the same as jeans, but I used both of these. Well, they cut the HWK off once I made it to the ER

Yeah. I bought a size up just for that reason. Plus, scrubs aren't very bulky.....so I probably could have bought my normal size

My buddy that rides pretty much every day here to work wears fancy adventure pants over his jeans. But yeah, super bulky. I was leaning that way but finally went with the riding jeans. Figure if/when I start commuting to work I'm just going to leave a pair of regular jeans here and change.

I do find the riding jeans warmer than regular jeans, though. The pads, extra layers and such seem to cut a lot of the wind or something. Adds some small amount of insulation.

ive been considering picking up a set of the Icon Conductor pants. I've got a pair of klim fifty 2 but the fit always seemed off and im too fat for skinnier pants.

I've got a pair of icon patrol overpants that are pretty nice for colder or inclement weather.

the klim HARDANGER riding suit is pretty nice to put over whatever clothes you are wearing for the day but im assuming thats a little out of calamity's $25 budget.

Its why I run it through the zipper pull loop, I figure it'll make it almost impossible to zip up, so would prob deter thinking criminals, though those appear to be rare.

I have carried the same cable+masterlock I use on my MTB if I know I am going to be somewhere with a decent potential for theft. Thankfully Mosko panniers have that nice beavertail that makes a perfect spot for it while riding.

I had no complaints out of mine. I also have the jacket. For cheap knockoff stuff.....they have been great. I also like the fact the pants will roll up and have mesh at the thighs.
