My backup camera got hard to see out of on my 2014, I guess scratched up. I replaced it with the Dasbecan one on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D9Q85M4L

Installing was very simple, like 10-15 minutes, tested it out, was much more clear. I thought I was good. After a bit more use, I realize it is pointing down way too much. I thought about jerry rigging something to point it up more like the factory one. Mabe try some type of washers etc. However, it looks tight up against the top of the hole. Anyone else have this issue with a non OEM replacement camera?
Should I just send it back.? There is no contact seller on the amazon order page to ask a question :-(

Anyone had good luck with a non OEM one from amazon?

I added a single small washer on mine to raise it up a bit and it worked like a charm. Tilts it up and back just enough to be the correct angle with no fitment issues.

Are you sure it's not upside down, if that is possible.

impossible with the bracket to put it in backwards

A little update in case someone else goes this route

The Dasbecan camera pointed down way too much, so I am sending it back.

    I bought this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CWGCSR9L/?coliid=I86HFYK9MFEZA&colid=2LR6821QOEEMY

When I installed it was still pointed down too much but not horrible. I tried putting washers on the mounting bolts in made very little difference and wasn't happy with it. So I took the middle part of the camera with tiny screws out from the bracket that bolts to truck. I added tiny washers there and screwed it back in. Worked like a charm. The only issue I had was dropped two of the tiny screws in the garage and took me 45 minutes to find them with a magnet pickup LOL

To measure the angle, I pull truck mostly out of garage. I put blue tape in the center of display screen, and blue tape on the ground where the center maps the blue line in the middle just above it. Then compare original camera to new and modifications with new camera.

The second camera is much more clear especially at night than the Dasbecan and much better than my old one, so pretty happy now. The only thing I'll note, the original backup lines were all blue with a tiny line in the center. This camera has green, yellow, red like modern backup cameras, but no little center line. But worked out well.
