Replaced the blown ML subwoofer with the Skar today. Getting to this point wasn't bad. Trimming the ribs in the subwoofer box and trimming the Skar to fit were annoying. Sounds much better now.

did you replace it with a 6.5"?

i got a powered JL Audio 8" for free and basically bypassed the powered part (no harness for it and i also already have an amp and didnt want to run more wires) and just wired the sub up to my JL Audio amp that i already have and man, talking about filling out the sound so much more. definitely worth it.

Shoot wish I would have known. I have one installed in the box already. Plugged it in and the factory amp is bad :annoyed:

I did. Between that and the Dayton Audio woofers I put in the front door to replace those blown speakers, there's more than enough bass for me. Nothing earth shattering but it works for me.

    Damn dude! That's sucks.

yeah i replaced all my speakers with image dynamics i had and it sounded better and was lacking a little. i put a kicker shallow mount in the stock subwoofer box but it didnt really make a difference. the jl audio 8 did.

Bought 2 OEM CV's for the GX almost a year ago. One finally started making noise in the last couple of weeks, so I figured it was time to finally replace them. Made pretty quick work of it. Figured I do the hubs/bearings and seal while I was in there...

I was on track to get it done in a couple hours, until I opened the CV boxes. I didn't notice it right away, but both are pretty fucked up along the hub race. Hard to believe that they are both mangled in the same spots...

Hopefully Bell Lexus will help me out. May have to go to the parts store and buy a cheap one for the side I took off until I can get this resolved. Pretty shitty as I was hoping to go out for the weekend.

Both CV's came in factory boxes inside of a FedEx box with additional packaging materials and showed no damage on any boxes. Anyone ever seen this?
