Gotcha, when I read beavertail I was thinking of the one on the back/middle of the reckless system. Love their stuff, but think I'm going to buy the Tusk Highland X2 rackless sytem when I start needing luggage. I just can't see spending so much on hard racks (or mosko stuff) when I doubt I'd use them much.

I'll have to give these a try. For $60 and free Amazon returns I think it's worth it.

Are they as good as Klim or brands like that? Absolutely not. But they honestly aren't bad for what they are. I can't say if they are truly waterproof or not as I've never had mine in the rain. I have ridden to work with it in the low 30's, and everything was fine with the exception of me having to wear snowboarding gloves b/c I did have winter motorcycle gloves

Typically clothing is the wrong size. But I definitely respect that observation

Washed the GSXR today. It was pretty dirty and covered in bugs. Then I gave the Harley a wash and took it out for a couple hours.
Feels good when bikes are clean. Need to give the Klx and my wife’s scooter a good washing too but that will tomorrow maybe.

Am i the only one that finds most modern riding gear available to be incredibly shit? It's all just plastic and teflon garbage thats gonna flap about in the wind and fill the environment with even more micro plastics, ruin your health and skin, and melt to your skin if you end up under the bike or sliding more than a few feet. Maybe it's just me, i'm extremely picky about quality and natural materials in general, but 90% of it seems to me like yet another scheme to charge people 10,000% markups for a few dollars of plastic garbage made in sweatshops :notsure:

Riding is so much fun. I can see why this is very addictive! Pretty sure the wife will be getting me some additional riding clothes for Father’s Day so I can stop wearing the same pair of jeans and jacket each time!

Ordered a backpack to match the bike as my blue one does not. I’ve been using it to bring my gym stuff back and forth to the gym. With the new one, I’m sure I’ll add some basic tools to it, or something.

I never understood people who spend thousands on a motorcycle but cheap out on riding gear.

Actually that's not always true. On some of the cheaper, knock off Cordura textile the material can melt right to your skin leaving 2nd and 3rd degree burns. The stitching can be single row where double row should be used leaving it tear apart and leaving you injured.

Any gear is better than no gear and not everyone has the budget for Klim or Aerostitch and I get that. Just be careful with stuff you see at swap meets or no name stuff. Most textile gear will list a denier number. Higher is generally better as the lower numbers are what will melt and can leave you with burns. I think from what I've read you want 600 or higher but check it out.
