We really haven’t had a winter the last 4 years except for cold, but it surely will if I get a rwd truck….

That's a horrible idea. What time?
That's the way it usually goes. I had an F150 4x4 when I lived up there. Lost a job, sold the truck for better fuel mileage. First winter storm was my first missed day to weather, ever. 18" storm with wind. It was fun. (Note heavy sarcasm.)

I like both of them. Would be easy decision if they both were 4x4

I heard a '24 start a few days ago. Definitely sounds like the George Jetson's DD.

Going to go with the 2025 Tacoma TRD off road 4x4 bronze oxide. Got them to include a 6/100,000 extended warranty and lifetime paint and interior protection. Likely pick it up on Tuesday evening. 4x4 will make more sense being in Chicago and for the 2 or 3 times a year towing the boat. Really liked that orange color though, if it was 4x4 probably would have got it.

I'm kinda skewed toward Inferno for some reason.... But I agree with 4WD where you are. Post up some pics when when you her.

This is the one I decided on. Not real sure about if I will use the tent thingy but didnt want black, or silver color. Too bad they didn’t have one in orange like the 2017 was.

6000lbs is too much for a Tacoma. It may be rated for 6500lbs but regularly towing 6000lbs will not be a fun experience. Towing will be unpleasant, a real pain in the ass. It will be stressful. Does the 6000lbs include a full tank of gas, ice chests and other equipment? You may actually be exceeding 6500lbs. Love my Tacos but not for towing a lot of weight. I tow a 3500lb boat and trailer, that’s plenty. Couldn’t imagine adding another 2500lbs. Get a Tundra or other 1/2 ton truck.

I see OP you posted your new truck as I was posting. Nice looking truck. I wish you luck towing 6000+ lbs.

Actually I think the boat is more like 5200 pounds, and usually only gets towed 5 miles twice a year.

Nice looking rig there. You may find you like camping more than you thought!

I like camping, usually go to Michigan where I have a trailer on my friends property and is wooded, but may find a need to to tent camping, fun part will be getting the dog in it. 70 pounds pit.

I lucked out. She's 60 lbs and figured out how to climb up and down ladder. We of course were very close in case she slipped or needed help / encouragement.
