is anyone aware of any issues with the trd off road with 5ft bed that would keep it from showing any in transit to dealers ? i have seached all the way up to 500 miles away from my area and nothing has shown on the website for the last couple of weeks. i have asked several dealers and they claim no issues.

Last time I looked at the site clicking on this truck took me to a in stock SR DC the same color, kind of made sense to show something very similar that's instock when looking at an allocation. The vehicle description was accurate maybe the allocation was already sold. I don't look at the site that often to see how it functions.

the link you provided shows all of them in either in build stage or possibly shipped. nothing showing eta to the dealerships. i tried 5 differant zip codes within 500 miles and all of mine came back with zero found. it did not even show build or shipped. one dealer today told me they stopped shipping the off road at the moment but did not know why. two other dealers had no comments.

Maybe there's a QC hold issue? Maybe it's production schedule and all OR left the building? Maybe Toyota will start pumping out a run of SR5 xtracabs?

It took me ages to find a TRD Offroad 5 foot bed Premium with the color I wanted. Same thing, everything was showing in build phase with no ETA. I had to check the Toyota website daily with my filters set. I eventually saw one pop up with a delivery date a week out, called the dealer to verify and it was true. I jumped on it quick.

Interesting. I went to a dealership last Tuesday and they had a number of TRD OR’s with 5 foot beds and premium package on the lot. I ended up getting a white one.

Most manufacturers build products in batches to save on production costs. Once they get the tooling set up to produce one configuration that is all they make for a while. They then have to shut down the production line and set it up for another configuration of their product. At least that is how most products are made. The automation in the auto industry may make it easier to change but that's my guess.

I think my color made it tough too. I wanted Bronze Oxide. Seems all they had around were just black and white.

When I ordered my 3rd Gen years ago it took almost 5mos for me to get my hands on it for this reason.

I noticed there isn't a ton 2025 Super Duties for sale at the moment Ford has a good bit but the inventory numbers don't seem as high as the same time last year I base that off of the limited amount of lower trims available in Avalanche gray. Toyota has brought the largest amount of SR Xtracab 4x4s to market recently. I was wondering if that was done to intentionally coincide with the end of the fiscal year?

I think it has something to do with the region you're in also...Texas is in the "Gulf State" region, which used to be known (and may still be) as the Gulf States Cartel". At the time I bought there weren't many allocations for loaded long bed TRD Sports so I had to wait a long time. So maybe as they re-tool for each model build it may have to do with allocations to each region? Some areas may get more than others? Just thinking out loud. You can Google Gulf States Toyota (Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Mississippi) and it's kind of wild how it came about back in the day.

I don't work for Toyota or a dealership so I can't say if they have stopped shipping the OR, but the website indicates that isn't the case. Maybe the OR isn't shipping to your area for some reason.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
Auto industry has figured that out. "Just in time shipping" to the plant gets the product there and on the assembly or production line. A lot of the basics for this truck are the same, and production is so automated that there is very little reason to shut down unless you're making a long term change. The "Big Three" usually shut down for a month mid ti end of summer to re-tool the line for a new model or update to existing models already in production. If they’re having an issue it could be a QC issue or a supplier issue. We saw that about 20 years back in Japan when a supplier had a factory fire. Affected a couple of automakers over there.

Toyota is actively dumping its Tacomas into the US market right now. Not finding an OR w 5ft bed is like falling out of a boat and not hitting water.
