Hey guys new to this forum and new to the Tacoma world. I just purchased a 2021 Tacoma TRD sport. Wanting to upgrade my front braking system to some preferably drilled but possibly slotted rotors was checking with the aftermarket industry not much available anyone have any ideas or good brands to search for drilled brake rotors on these Tacomas on top of that what's the best brake pads brands that you guys use that don't squeak and offer the optimum performance breaking power?

Powerslot and Hawk pads are my go to.

Reminder that slotted or drills rotors just disapate heat better, they won't make the pedal any more firm or shorten braking distance in normal conditions.

I'd suggest the 4runner brake upgrade if desired, but the best thing to do is adjust the rear parking brake from time to time, ideally 5-6 clicks to lock the rear or fewer.

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
Good pads, fresh fluid, clean and well serviced fronts and rears will do way more than gussied up rotors

Speaking from experience as a former solo II runner. (Not in a Tacoma)

Drilled and slotted for a 4x4? oh no, no , no no nooooo....what a way to wreck your brakes faster than anything!! mud and stuff gets stuck in those crevises and there goes your brake pads. There is a reason they dont put them on 4x4s! Look up what Bishop suggested!
