    I’ve got 2000 Taco with the 3.4L & 5 speed. 284xxx miles.

About 2 months ago I left work and I had a severe loss of power when pressing the pedal right after starting up. This was followed by sputtering and full cutout of the RPMs. Later i realized if I bounce the rpms above 2500-3000 I can get full power no problem but I have to give more than 50% throw on the gas pedal. But between that 10%-50% I lose power. Does not change when it heats up. But is worse when engine is cold as it dies after 3 seconds until warmed up. (Still current symptoms)

I was able to limp it home and got a P0100 code. So naturally I changed the MAF and air filter. Nothing changed.

Over the last 2 months I have replaced:
    • MAF x2
    • AIR FILTER (Cold air)
    • INTAKE BOOTS
    • PLUGS AND WIRES
    • FUEL FILTER
    • TPS
    • O2 SENSORS
    • FUEL PUMP
    • KNOCK SENSORS
    • IAC SENSOR
    • FIXED HEADER LEAK
    Things I’ve also done:
    • Checked wiring from ECU to MAF
    • Check and leak tested vacuum lines
    • Replaced all intake gaskets
    • Inspected and cleaned all connections
    • Disconnected batter for 2 days
    • Deleted code after each replacement/ potential fix
I have tried anything I can think of and read countless forums and watched every video I came across.

Only other things I can note are:
    • My STFT and my LTFT are high/ abnormal
    • The truck runs noticeably rich
    • High idle/ bouncing RPMs
    • Ran completely normal one time after disconnecting battery for 2 days and tracing MAF wires and replacing MAF, then right back to the bullshit
    Any help is appreciated

I will post more details as I find them and live data/ pictures.

Toyotas as it relates to fuel injection parts are notoriously sensitive to factory parts... I hope that the MAF's you put in were Toyota as oppossed to what the auto part stores sell. It would be great to find a compatable 3.4 and swap MAF's just to see.

I’ve owned it for 7 years. Previous one that I had put in was a Blue Streak. Had no issues with it until this came up so that is what’s in there now. I couldn’t get hands on a Denso within reasonable time.

For future reference, there is a video on YouTube by Toyota YouTube Maintenance channel where the owner shows you how to clean MAF sensors. The sensors get dirty especially if you offroad and need cleaning as part of your 60k mile Maintenance.

May be a stupid question on my part but you dont spell it out, you just comment "nothings changed"

Are you erasing the code after you throwing parts at it, & same code is returning?
