It'd be through the hole, but you put a hose on the nipple first. No oil on you.

    Stock for now but soon
There's enough room to fit your hand in that hole to open the valve? I got bigger hands haha

All it takes is a flick of a finger to move the lever on the valve.

Unless, you have GORILLA hands, you should be OK.

It's just a finger to move the lever. Unless your finger is 3 inches in diameter you'll be fine.

I need to do this mod,the skid plate makes it a pain to drain the oil. I like the fact that you can put a hose on this valve.

I have a non nipple version and I don't make a mess with it.

A tube to a valve with a nipple is more convenient if you are going to be draining into a jug with a not-so-large opening to fill it. This valve essentially eliminates the need to ever use a drain pan again because who likes cleaning that out?!?!?!

You clean your oil drain pan out? I just set it on its edge against the wall with the spout in a jug.

Nope. I do not clean out my oil drain pan because I DON'T USE ONE. I drain directly into a 5-quart jug, twist the cap closed, and it is ready to bring to the dump. Easy Peasy.

Upon further reading I suspect you have the drain pan type that has a spout while many others is simply a wide open shallow bucket. I use neither.

I need an empty jug to drain into. I have the valve with the nipple and could attach a hose to it.
