Hi everyone, was recently gifted a grey 2009 SR5 4x4 automatic double cab from my grandparents! (Could not be more grateful for this gift!!!) Excited to join the forum.

I have some plans for it, but as I’m still in university, it’ll be a slower build. I’ve purchased some bronze Fuel Shoks, and am looking for wheels now (no rush as the ones that came with it are in good condition). I eventually want to delete the chrome and give it a 1.5ish inch lift.

Nice looking Taco. Your grandparents are awesome. How many miles? What state? Rust? I have a 2009, they are solid trucks. Just enjoy the truck the way it is for now. Consider waiting until you are out of school and earning $$$ before modding it up. Mods are addictive and expensive. I know when I was in college I had money for beer and dates and that was it. I know I sound like your parents

Thanks dude! It had 122,000 when I got it, put quite a bit on it since then. I'm from BC, Canada. Little to no rust, pretty good considering it is a 16 year old truck. They really are solid trucks, I'm loving it so far. That's my plan for now, just wanted to get rid of the stock rims lol, I only plan on getting some bigger tires as the winters here can be pretty harsh. Those are the only mods I plan to do for awhile.
