Hey all, I have a 2013 taco 4 door with the jbl sound system. My right side rear door speaker went out quite some time ago and now my head unit is acting up. Often times the touch screen is unresponsive but I can get it to work here and there. I was hoping to upgrade and feeling a bit lost with what’s out there. All other forums seem to be quite a few year back now. I would love to improve the quality and make it louder. All suggestions are welcome! Looking for someone to point me in the right direction. Cheers.

hey! a set of 6.5" components up front would be great, i'm a fan of Focal (Flax series or up is preferred), but otherwise I'd recommend going to a local audio shop and getting a feel for what brand of speakers you like the sound of. I'm a fan of Pioneer headunits, a lot of the new ones have wireless Carplay that works quite nicely. Alpine amps are my fav, they have solid 5 channel amps that can power all 4 doors + a sub while fitting perfectly under the passenger seat.

For subs, JL are my fav. I did a dual 10TW3 setup behind the passenger seat in my double cab Tacoma! (p.s., I'm selling the subs and the custom enclosure if you're interested)
