I’ve always wondered what this part was and I have the part number and name but still don’t understand the function or purpose. I tried sending in a support request from a Toyota tech but they just emailed back the item description on the website. Real master tech response right there. I even have the part number for the bolt attaching it (90126-A0013)

    Part # 12216-0P010
    (12216C) replaces 12216-31010
    Plate, Oil Baffle

It took a while to figure out what the replacing # part was, but I wanted to swap it because it was an ugly rusty looking thing so I gave it a cool makeover with a ghost trd logo

Anyone know what the real purpose of it is or is it just a random piece of metal attached to the manifold bracket

Makes more sense than the website description where its treated as an actual baffle. but its still not lined up straight from the filler neck to catch any drips. Probably was better designed in theory rather than application. Still made it look attrative to look at though! Thanks!
