Can’t you do a HomeDepot flatbed truck rental for like $15/hr? Or an “in-town” U-Haul?

Or maybe someone on here nearby would be willing to help you out.

IDK, $300+ every time I've checked but shipping seems to go up every day.

Thanks to everyone who replied. I pulled the trigger on the General springs. Shackles, leafs, u-bolts, bolts with shipping was $695. It's still a chunk of change, but it's everything and significantly less than just one leaf pack from Toyota. Time is critical to get back on the road. I'm missing some of the pre-spawn bass action.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I'm pretty sure there isn't anything on a Japanese that isn't metric.

LTL freight my man. Don't use a courier like UPS, they will just charge you an arm and a leg. LTL freight is when you just toss them on a pallet and they go on a truck with a bunch of other less than truckload (LTL) shipments. Costs way less, usually charged by weight and leaf springs are relatively light. Only catch is it usually isn't door to door delivery. You need to take them to a depot, and the receiver needs to go pick them up from a depot. I had a pair of Deavers shipped halfway across Canada for $130CAD.

    Some advice.

Put the truck on jack stands and support the 3rd member with a jack.

Do one side at a time so the axle doesn’t move and you’ll be able to manipulate up/down for remount.

Be prepared to cut the old shackle bolts out with a sawzall.

Rattle gun makes removing shit easier.

Start soaking shit in penetrate now. I did mine everyday for a week leading up to the weekend. Only had one bastard bolt.

I put anti seize on the sleeves of the shackle bolts.

Re torque your u bolts after 500 miles.

Easy 60 to 90 minute job.

I snapped a leaf on both sides. One broke and the other broke before I could source replacements. Ended up replacing with 3rd gen oem takeoffs with icon aal’s intermittently (150$) before buying purpose built packs.

excellent advice. Mine were so off torque at 500 that it made me paranoid for a while. I still check at oil change.

Update - Had a shop replace the springs. Unknown to me, the opposite side main leaf was broken as well. Lucky me. All new bolts, u-bolts, shackles, and bump stops. Truck rides like a dream! The only thing I didn't replace were the shocks (yet). They're Bilstein 5100's and have more than 80k on them. Replacements are on order and I'll change them as soon as they arrive.

It's been raining here for about 2 weeks straight and I'm glad I opted to have a shop do the job. Only 1 bolt required a torch. Torqued the u-bolts to 80#'s. Will retorque them in about 500 miles.

The truck sits higher in the rear than it ever has and there is a slight rake even with 3rd Gen coil overs up front. So far, I'm happy with how everything played out.IMG_6167.jpg
