    Is that it?

I'm busy searching marketplace for pre 1980 vehicles for my next hobby. Don't really keep up on trendy things.

Gen X is not millennial. Latchkey kids who have memories of life without a computer in the home are fundamentally different than the kids who grew up a decade later.

I was being sarcastic. It’s 81-96, but there’s the mentality anything after 1970 is to be mocked.

I’m an elder millennial, analog childhood, digital adulthood. The internet wasn’t a thing until high school and the early Internet was the Wild West.

Boomer here. Manuals are mostly just a pain. If given a choice I would take an automatic (normally faster shifting and they don't need a hand to operate). Good luck jumping into a manual transmission car that is new to you and getting away from a police car.

Millenial here: mostly I just don’t jump into new to me cars and run from cops, no matter the transmission

A few years ago, we took my GF's stick shift to a Jiffy-Lube for an oil change. One bay was occupied, the other open. A few minutes later, the vehicle being serviced drove away. We waited, waited and waited. After about 15 minutes, the manager came to ask if she would drive the car onto the rack....no one there could drive a stick shift.

Many years ago, I read a book titled "Future Shock" by Alvin Toffler. The basic premise of the book is that all kinds of change, technological, financial, societal, etc. occurs at an ever-increasing rate. It's very easy to see with technology. The first manned airplane flight was in 1903 and took thousands of years to achieve, 66 years later we put a man on the moon, a few years after that, we had a reusable space shuttle and now there is an orbiting space station. Computers used to be things that IBM and the Defense Department had, now Smart Phones are basically handheld computers seemingly with more power than 1950's main frames taking up building basements. Change does occur at an ever-increasing rate and not everyone adapts well due to the speed of change.

I don't need a sticker as my anti-theft device is much, much worse. An aftermarket machined shifter knob that sits in the sun all day while I'm at work. I carry my security towel with me. Woe be to the person that steals my car without my security towel.

You just reminded me of my parent's Park Ave with the classic 80s GM metal seatbelt buckles.

    Boomer here. Not really.

How about bringing back anti-theft seats. Heat absorbing vinyl that burns the skin off the back of your legs.

Let us not forget the Corinthians that gave their lives for the seating in the Chrysler Cordoba.

If you're closer to 1981-83...that's definitely elder Millennial!

I was in Jr High from 1979-82 and remember MS-DOS/Computer class in 9th grade (1982).

It wasn't until mid 90s I had a friend help me build a Tower PC with motherboard/processor chip/soundcard/RAM...and other nit-noid stuff...

So I could play "Quake" and other rack-'em-up/shoot-'em-up games like "Doom".

Also had ICQ and downloading music capabilities on that badass internet modem! lol

As for the Manual Transmission capabilities...or lack thereof...

    It's a preference.

I can drive both...heck, I can operate a motorcycle too! (Got my endorsement in 2011)

I've stalled my daughter's VW GTI 6sp when I had to drive it...it takes some getting use to the clutch in every vehicle...but I get on!

I know I'm not the first to chime in, but I'm gonna do it anyway: I am a millennial who owns 2 manual transmission vehicles.
