My 2019 has Bilstein 6112s up front with their 600 lb/in Coils. Since installing these I have added sliders, bumper and winch. Now the front feels a bit soft on the road. I'm thinking 650 lb coils would help, although maybe stronger valved shocks would be better? I'm willing to try the coils if that would help a bit. I assume the front lift will be about the same, maybe slightly higher. Comments?

    Thanks

I have the about the same armor as you up front plus full skids and a bunch of bed weight. I had the sliders and skids with the 600's and switched to the 650's when i added the stealth bumper and winch and it seems to be the ticket for me. I gained maybe .5" after they settled but i never measured. Truck still feels plush but a lot more solid, I run no sway bar also.

You'll like the upgrade. Trail is Signal Peak off I-80.

Yes I wish I had 650 lb springs. Maybe in a few years when I swap coilovers.

I am curious about the opposite direction, having not a lot of weight in the truck (2003 with topper, otherwise stock) and if the 6112 with the 600’s would be a harsh ride because they would do better with more weight. I have been down the internet hole lately, any thoughts?

I’m at 6/5 600 Ib coils up front no added weight. I’m good.

Thanks for the input. Do you off-road or mostly use it on pavement? Just curious because I would just be on dirt roads now and again camping. Thank you

I purchased the 650 lbs springs and will install them in the next few weeks. I will be able to give a comparison then.

Did you ever get those 650# springs installed? I'm having Eibach 650# put on my Bilstein 6112's

Got the Eibach 650# springs installed this week along with going to Stage 3 on my ICON RXT leaf pack for about an additional 1/2” up front and 1” in rear

Can you keep the stock Upper Control Arm with the Bilstein 6112s?

Depends on alignment IMO. IMO it’s a good investment to be able to dial in alignment.

Yes, I did install the 650 lbs springs. Gained ~.5" in the front, which it needed, and the ride is firm again. Like it. How bout yours?

The front definitely stiffened up a bit, which is fine with me. I got about 1/2" up front and 1" in the rear with the addition of the AAL from ICON

You can but its better to just upgrade that way you can make sure the alignment stays on point for your taco

So my 2nd gen is getting a full upgrade with SPC upperCL control arms and lower control arms to start fresh. Then the 6112 with the 650 spring to counter the added weight of the ARB SUMMIT bumper and winch. Then the 5160s and OME med weight leaf pack for the decked system and Amazon bumper that has a swing out for the spare and gas cans.
