    Hi,

I have a 2014 Toyota Tacoma with a failed clutch master cylinder. Dealer says there are no OEM clutch master cylinders in stock in the US from their suppliers.

Based on limited research it seems that AISIN ones are better than the LuK ones.
The OEM part number the dealer gave me for the part was 31420-04020.

Problem is I cannot verify which AISIN part numbers to use. Truck is a 4WD 2014 Toyota Tacoma TRD Offroad with a v6 and a 6 speed manual transmission.

Does anyone know which will be compatible? I could only find results for pre-2004 models.

If there is a better aftermarket brand, please let me know.

I just ran into this on my 14, original part is discontinued from what I can find.

I followed the squeaky clutch pedal TSB (T-SB-0112-19 Rev1) which has you replace the pedal, master cylinder, and hose although in hindsight I think I could have just used the master cylinder and swapped over the tip on the pushrod.

If you follow the TSB these are the parts you need, total cost is around $400:
Be aware that Toyota's parts catalog shows them as not fitting a 14 but they are the right parts.

    31420-60033 Clutch Master Cylinder Assembly
    31311-04021 Clutch Pedal Sub-assembly
    31434-60010 Clutch Reservoir Hose
    90389-06055 Clutch Pedal Sub-assembly Bushing

I would kind of recommend doing the slave cylinder as well and flushing everything out while your doing it since you will have all the lines off anyway, P/N for that is 31470-35181 (~$60)

I would set aside 2-3 hrs to do it as you have to take the whole pedal assembly out (which is a pretty good job) and take it apart to change the master cylinder.

As far as bleeding it after I used a suction gun filled with brake fluid connected to the bleeder on the slave cylinder to push fluid up till the reservoir was full then sucked a bit back out of the bleeder, that got it 95% there and then pumping the pedal got the rest of the air out.

Unfortunately the master failed when I was at the dealer having it flushed (yeah I should have just done it myself, but they quoted a decent price, and I don't have access to my tools being in a different state).

Given that I don't have a way to move the vehicle due to this problem, and you say the original part is no longer manufactured, I will just order the part from Napa and have the dealer install it. But thanks for the help.

Ah ok, yea mine gave me some warning. It started sticking down slightly when it was cold which made the pedal feel wonky but it still kept working till I got it fixed.

I went on rock auto to get the aisin part numbers.
You can also go on aisin's website to get the part #s.
I think I ordered from Amazon or RockAuto. dont remember.
    OEM master cylinder was plastic
    aisin was metal.
its a bit annoying to get to under there and pretty tight.
recommend replacing the slave cylinder while youre at it.
aisin part for slave cylinder had the Japanese toyota logo filed off
put some of that honda urea grease on the tip where it touches the fork and you you will get rid of the clutch squeak for a long time to come
