So a wild turkey gobbled it's last in my grill recently.f62d4f76711c0a3373e7b8680d392d90dcb3385c.gif
The other day I was doing a sleepy evening drive down the internet and thought to activate the lane departure alert.

I turned it on from the instrument display, but...Nothing. No beeps or warnings/

How can this be diagnosed? Perhaps I need to have the dealer do the insurance repair.

I thought I would skate under, and pocket the cash settlement. But I don't think I want to give up the LDA feature. I'm getting old, and sometimes drift a bit...

What do you mean from the instrument display? The settings or did you use the button on the right steering wheel?

yes, the buttons on the wheel. Up Down, right Left and CENTER ;-)

I confess, the two different "sensitivity" settings has me puzzled,

My bet is I need to use my readers when looking at the steering wheel buttons ;-)

Ok then that’s just the setting to make it available. There is a button on the bottom right of the steering wheel to turn it on. Looks like a car leaving a lane.

    Reserected from the dead.
Well, you are missing the cover.

The system is calibrated to run with the cover over the sensor.

Get the new cover, reset by disconnecting the neg battery and it will work fine.

Fyi, there is no beeps unless you actually do veer away from the center of the lane. The only notification is an icon on the dash.

I think it might beep once when you push that button to turn it on.

confirm system is on with indicator on dash that matches the button.

Yup! I think I missed that... damn near vision loss is a real bitch when driving....

I just don't use all those "features" enough to remember what does what when..

    Thanks!
