    Anyone give me insight.
    Yesterday and today.

Yesterday I had the ac button turned on/ recirculatory button turned on and set to low setting.
Ac was running and turned off momentarily. I clicked the ac button off then back on and it worked again.
    Today same thing.
All over settings work but just recirculate setting I noticed this issue yesterday and today

    any idea ?
    Thanks

I didn’t hear no clicking or noises from the compressor or fans underneath the dash board.

Probably low on charge, it will turn off if the charge pressure gets low. You can try the quick and dirty with one of those cans, but obviously just a band-aid.

okay thank you I’ll look into it before I run it low and fry the compressor lol

I had it recharged a few months back but it’s the original compressor with 200k miles on it.

Gotta add, the odd things is recirculation only. Have the temps in your area ramped up in the last two days?

    yes they have lol
Mid 80s to high 90’s and 100’s incoming

thinking it’s a leak after talking to my mechanic. The compressor is probley turning off to protect itself because the system is low.

I would agree with that. You may get away with topping it off but a full evac and refill after fixing the leak would be better....but $$. If it took many years to leak a bit low I would probably try a recharge.

I’m hoping it’s just a hose lol but it’s usually never the cheaper of the two evils lol

If it hasn't been charged for decades, just recharge it. I wouldn't worry about a very small leak.

so it was recharged about 2-3 months back and at the time the system was holding but maybe after running it often. The system could have started leaking ?

I bought the truck back in January and the system was empty prior but the compressor was kicking on and working at the time (compressor still obviously works now)

Ahh, yeah, it needs to be fixed. It may have also lost oil from the system depending where the leak is, so having an AC guy check it out it the best bet.

Yep. I am familiar with the area. Gotta have AC. Best of luck with it.
