AC idler/tensioner pulley play

Hey guys,
My AC idler pulley has play in it very similar to this guys for example https://www.reddit.com/r/MechanicAd...idler_pulley_has_a_slight_bit_of_play_when_i/
I'm trying to hunt down an intermittent squeal noise which could be this pulley or just needing to re-tension my belts.
Is this normal on the 5vzfe? Can I just press in a new bearing and call it a day?
Appreciate any input.

 

Pulleys are a wearable part bc of the bearing inside

buy new one, RR belt while your in there

 

I was going to press in a new bearing rather than buy the whole pulley $10 vs $70

$20 for the whole pulley, and you don't have to worry about pressing the bearing in/out.

 

ooo thanks, I need to venture into rockauto more. I've been an OEM junky, but there are certain parts where I don't need to be.

 

Believe me, I get it. Unfortunately as our trucks get older, OEM parts are getting more expensive & rarer. I'm considering ordering the parts for a valve cover gasket set sometime in the next few months, even though I'm planning on that being a 2026 project just to make sure they're still available

pulley is just a pulley.....dont over think it

 

TBH Aisin parts are usually just Toyota parts with the Toyota logo ground off.
