    Good day all,
Here's the deal. I just installed a 2" lift kit ordered from Mudify, on my 2015 tacoma sport 4x4 double cab. The kit came with OME Springs (2885), and Bilstein 5100 struts assembled by Mudify, as well as a freedom off-road UCA. After installing all parts on the drivers side, I noticed that there didnt seem to be much, if any lift. I am running stock 265/65 R 17 tires/wheels. The gap between the tire and wheel faring is 8.5"ish, on both the installed, and uninstalled (stock) side.
Questions: Will a 2" lift actually manifest a 2" increase gap between the tire and wheel faring or will it be realized somewhere else?
    - Also, did the Tacoma sport with the factory Bilstein suspension have a lift with it from the factory?

Thank you all for any input!!
    Marc

5100’s are adjustable from stock height to +2.5. Where are yours set?

Is your truck stock? How heavy is the truck? Do you have an aftermarket bumper?

Can you post some pictures of the lift components that you have installed?

My truck is mostly stock, I do not have a bumper, front or back. I did get OME springs with the kit to compensate for future weight. I was looking at the struts for the front, and it looks like the "circ clip" is on the very bottom. After reaching out to Mudify, they said that the height is compensated with the spring, which doesnt sound right to me. Again they came assembled from Mudify. And I had requested the 2" lift.

What I'm getting from this is that the uncompressed length of the strut is still the same as stock, but you'll get less compression and a taller stance because the spring will compress less than stock, once installed.
Are you measuring the 'height' of the truck with the front wheel hanging in the air? If so, when you finally set it back on the ground, I think the expectation is that it will sit 2" higher because the assembly will compress less.
    Just my two cents.

I'm almost certain that's the problem. The exact same reason myself and many other 2nd gen owners put in 3rd gen struts.

Is your sway bar (stabilizer bar) still hooked up? If so, that would make it difficult to compare the two sides the way you're trying to do (it'll be pulling down on the lifted side while also raising up the stock side).
If you do not have the bar connected and both sides are less than an inch different, then yeah your shocks likely aren't set up correctly.

Measure from the center of the hub to the fender
Stock would be approximately 20” front, 22” rear
