New fuel filter, and got the old evap core out. Absolutely stank of R134, so even if it's not the problem, it was a problem.

    EDIT, 1600:

New evap core & receiver-drier installed, going to wait to vacuum test the system (could this weekend, but don't feel like rushing to LARP to rent a vac pump + manifold) before I put all the ancillary stuff back in, but went ahead & ran the truck for a bit to make sure everything was good with the fuel filter. It was.

Thanks again for this recommendation for metal outside door handles. Both my left and right exterior handles gave out recently and I ordered a couple of these metal ones from Amazon. They arrived within a day or so and I got them installed this afternoon with only a few minor of the usual hassles. Looks like they are made in Taiwan instead of mainland China.

"You didn't want to get the metal ones?" https://amzn.to/4aLZqPm

Temporarily modified my jerry can holder to fit my new H2GO jerry can and tested it. I will probably create a new closing mechanism and make the carrier look more visually appealing before getting it powder coated.

Went to this style battery terminal block. Still not my favorite, though it's better than the ones that crush the wire. I'd like to see maybe a 4-horizontal one and I think that'd be best

Damn it was almost me... for some reason I just gave the truck a glance this morning on the way to bringing my son to school (with the DD lol) and saw this. Good reminder that if you need to swap a CV on the trail, go back and torque/loctite your shit!

Yup it's exactly this ^ super simple and strong when in a stud and helps use up what would be dead garage space.

The throttle body started to make a high pitched noise on my 2001 v6 (here's a yt short showing the sound: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/pUYqJRDH0-Y ), I've been meaning to clean the IAC and calibrate the TPS, so I pulled the throttle body off this morning before I started work. The IAC is testing good, but I'm having trouble finding the instructions for calibrating a 3-pin TPS (p/n 89452-35020). I found a picture of the instructions for doing this on a 4-pin but I assume those aren't relevant. Does anybody have a picture of the 3-pin adjustment and diagnostic process or a link to a guide?

I went to go order up the fuel lines that run under the cab for my 97 toyota but they are unfortunately discontinued and I cannot located them online. : 7725204040 main , 7725504060 return line , 7726104050 fuel canister

It appears however for 00-04 trucks they still sell the three lines: 77261-04080 , 77255-04110 , 77251-04170.

If anyone can let me know if I can run those and be fine let me know lol.

I would think so, but I think they changed how the fuel lines secure to the bottom of the cab between 95-99 and 00-04. There's reference to nuts securing the lines in the filter guide I used for my fuel filter, and there aren't any under my truck. (Had to bend the lines a little to get the old filter off, then bend them back to secure the new filter)

Backup cam. It faces a little high, so might 3D print a wedge or just move it to the tailgate itself right above where it faces down
