I need to replace the OEM bed rail tie downs for lower profile options. My Tonneau cover rail makes adjusting the stock tie downs challenging for my old man hands. Anyone have any experience with either of these?

    From Cali Raised:
    https://caliraisedled.com/products/bed-rail-hook?variant=40568516214826

    From Bonobo Products:
    https://bonoboproducts.com/products...CVdqwD3qcrjUpk2tw-Y2sEa3rPZ4y9KXrzx5Fs4&gQT=1

At some point I saw some beautiful billet aluminum anodized ones but they were quite spendy so not interested in those.

    Thanks.

can't speak from experience, but both look rock solid. I have the Bonobo front recovery points and I can speak to the quaility of their craftsmanship. Beefy and rock solid.

I like the spring loaded easily adjustable ones that came with the truck for light loads.

Corner brackets and bed stiffeners for heavy duty.

I use all those too. It all depends on the requirements of the job at hand.

Are the current tie-downs the OEM ones that come with the trucks? Mine adjust easily to loosen or tighten. They slide easily into position and ratchet (limit) themselves automatically (slip) when they have reached fully tightened. (so they can never get over-tight.) They also slide easily on the tracks, and can be removed/snapped out of it quickly and easily from it (track) any place along it without sliding them all the way to either end or removing the end-plugs:

[Hint]: Don't remove those plastic rail-end plugs unless you are ready to replace them. They are a pain to replace correctly and will quickly disappear in short order never to be seen again. (and they aren't cheap)

Yes, the OEM ones are the ones on the truck. I like them but with my tonneau cover rails, it makes it difficult to loosen the knob for movement with arthritic hands and lack of space above because of the rail position. Ratchet handle with Allen head makes life much easier for me. Loosening a bolt with my whole hand on a wrench vs trying to get my finger tips to rotate a stuck knob that is recessed within the cleat.

I agree that they aren't that easy to turn, even with easy/free access. They are nice to have, but I usually ratchet-strap things to the bed d-rings or the tie-downs up front on the sides of the bed. I don't understand why Toyota doesn't install d-rings on the bed floor in the front as standard kit.
