So... Tigerton weekend is a busy mess. The Wisconsin Coalition of 4 Wheel Drives is having a trail building weekend in my backyard that weekend. They are starting a trail system at White Cap Mountain which is VERY rugged and has lots of potential. I have searched long and hard around there because of what can be seen from the road, but it is mostly private. This is a huge opportunity for the Northwoods and the 4 wheel community in Wisconsin. As such-and to kind of put my money where my mouth is-I feel a need to volunteer and get involved with this. Wheeling and camping in a slightly different context but for a future payoff... Maybe in August.

I've seen the announcement of this on a couple of FB club sites. I think it's a good idea.

With all the trail closings around, hearing about new ones opening up is exciting

Careful now, don’t go setting the bar too high for the rest of us schmucks.
    :pccoffee:

Hmm…now that I think of about it, I seem to be surrounded by folks who arrange awesome trail rides, have no problems knocking out full suspension installs on random tacomas parked in driveways for the fun of it, make Kevin Bacon burgers, keep the worlds best Old Fashionds flowing around a campfire, etc etc.

I guess maybe I should look at contributing a bit more than just squatting on camp sites, and being that guy who’s “kinda funny” (I’m going to assume that’s a good thing when people say that). Maybe I should come up with some more dad jokes to add more entertainment value at camp?
    :D

Don't sell yourself so short! There was the time you recovered my continuum malfunftioner wrench I left behind at the bar. And the time you gave my buddy Nick and me some of the most delicious bread I've ever had to go along with our steaks at Tigerton.

    PXL_20231016_005508635.NIGHT.jpg

And you're one of my favorite people to ponder the mysteries of the universe and Toyota trucks with. I'd pay your trail fee just for more of that around a campfire.

I think this is a great idea! Unfortunate timing, for sure..

I wouldn't be offended if anyone else decided to get involved as well.

If there are future opportunities to help out, I'd be interested in doing what I can to help out.

I really appreciate you hauling it all the way down, and working as hard as you did!

I'm always impressed by this group's overall willingness to travel and help others.

Thanks !!! I promise to deeply contemplate the campfire in your absence so that we have even more topics to overly think in the next time!

Ok then, Who else is squatting? Don’t be shy! We all should remember the history of that land… which makes squatting at Tigerton an act of deep cultural respect and honor.

(Nevermind the history of ensuing FBI raids for other assorted lawlessness lol).
