Eibach Stage 2 installed, is this normal?

I recently installed the Eibach Stage 2 suspension on my 3rd Gen.
The installation was easy but one thing that was a slight concern was that the rear shocks had to be compressed until only about 6 inches of the piston rod remained.
I'm now noticing that every bump is the road appears to be amplified and shakes the entire truck.

Could this be due to the rear shocks being compressed so much? Would a small lift in the rear help smooth things out?
The front coilovers were set to about 1.5" lift, would it make any difference if I were to lower these closer to stock level?

Nothing else was changed. Still on stock control arms, leaf springs, etc.

I’ve found the eibach runs quite harsh as well.

it would help a bit to reduce the compression on the front springs but it won’t be significant

I feel like they are engineered for more weight and bigger tires.

If the rear is sagging a bit it will only be an issue with it bottoming out, it won’t affect overall ride

It's normal to have to compress the shocks if you haven't jacked up the rear end to swap them. You want to be riding at about the middle of the shock travel so that you have both up and down travel left. 6" sounds about right.

Honestly that's probably just how the Eibachs ride. They are known to be on the stiffer end of the spectrum. The amount of lift won't really change anything. And the shocks being compressed a bit makes essentially 0 difference in how the shock performs. It's just a piston in a cylinder full of oil, where the piston is inside that cylinder doesn't change anything.
