Hi there :) 1st post and I’m a noob for sure.

2008 Tacoma - Truck had no issues, parked it a couple days.

Start it, and my abs, traction and brake warning lights are on. Right away notice power windows, a/c also are not working.

Friend went through pertinent fuses and ECU#2 (10amp) was blown. Replaced it and everything was great!!.. For 1 minute… it blew right away. :(

I am panicked and could use some help on what to check or do next. Thanks guys, In advance.

    Dee.

I'm assuming your referring to the IG1 No2 fuse? There is no ECU#2 fuse.

Location? [state] Any issue with rodents of usual or unusual size? Pack rats around? Live in the city or out in the burbs a bit?

Yes I’m sorry, it was told to me that way. IG1 #2. Located in the inside fuse box.
And no there’s zero rodents. I’m in Boise. The city. No rodents around.

Was the AC on when it blew?
Try leaving the AC off and see of it blows.

You know, it was. I will try that.
Thanks again for any help. I’m really in a bind.

That suggests either the A/C compressor clutch is shorted or the wire between it and the underhood fuse box it shorted, the next step would be to unplug the compressor, turn the A/C on, and see if the fuse blows.

Nevermind. I started it today. No ac no radio no anything and it blew. It was the 3rd time I started it.
*it started blowing that fuse immediately. Before it would start and run etc. now it got changed, got power, blown*
