FYI, RockAuto has the Bilstein 6112's and 5110's for the best price I could find around (if you don't mind assembling).

$882 shipped for the 6112's, accompanying springs and two 5110's for the rear. They didn't include the top hats, which I got for $35 (pair) off Amazon.

All in all $917.... Not a huge savings (about $150) over other non-pre-assembled, but a savings nonetheless.

I'll rent a spring compressor and assemble myself as I've done before.

honestly though, for the peace of mind I still rather spend the extra 150 and buy it from a reputable TW vendor shipping from their own inventory, who you can get on the phone and speak with if a problem arises

rockauto might save you money at first but they are a nightmare if you need to any help whatsoever as they are 100% email bases customer service... they will not speak on the phone and they ship parts from outlying warehouses

I understand. To each his own. Personally, I’m fine dealing directly with Bilstein as they would be the ones to cover warranty issues, not the dealer/distributor. And they are a reputable company.

I’ve contacted Bilstein by phone before and their customer service was top notch. They have an office not far from me in Southern California.

i was thinking more in terms of receiving the correct product in the first place or if ever at all, and really most of all one that was not damaged in transit by being boxed up poorly at the warehouse which is something Bilstein would not be responsible for

$150 is a nice savings nonetheless!
