Hey everyone. I just recently bought some TRD Pro headlights off a nice guy who installed alpharex headlights on his Pro. I installed them onto my 2024 TRD Offroad base and they are plug and play. I saw numerous sources saying you needed a special harness, adapters, or reprogramming. You do NOT. These use the exact same sockets and piggy back connectors.

Sequential signal works perfect. DRL and all. If you can find them for a good deal I’d say they’re worth it. Looks especially nice on my Solar Octane. Pretty sure Toyota designed them this way as eventual late base model years will get them just like the last few years of the third gens.

That is good to know. I was thinking the connectors and harnesses are different on my Pro. It makes it a lot easier for my wiring planning.

Right. A lot of chatter about a special harness or reprogramming tool needed but after looking at the diagrams provided by Toyota on the parts website… nothing was different. And wazza, they plug and play!

How is the pro lights different than the off Road? Is it just the daytime running underneath the beam or is there something else?

I wish they didn't have the sequential signalling -- it looks goofy on this short LED strip. Maybe if the headlights were twice as wide as they are...

Also not happy with how the edge of the downward curving portion of the LED strip doesn't quite line up with the feature line in the front bumper. It's off by half an inch. I expected more from OEM headlights. I had plans to upgrade to the TH/Pro headlights but after these two issues, I abandoned it.

Super glad this works on the 4th gen, but 3rd gen base models still came with halogens all the way through 2023 and did require a custom made harness to use the LED headlights.

I like the sequential signals on the front headlamp, and wish they did it for the rear, but I did upgrade my side mirrors with sequential lights already and do like how that looks. Soon I will have my fang lights installed with more sequential lighting. :curls:
