Appears there's only a few pounds difference between C and E 285/70/17's. Hmm...

Not Tacoma specific, but with the additional 19 sizes they made available last week, I was finally able to secure a set of factory-sized LT215/75R15 KO3s for my old Jeep's new factory wheels. Will report on the road results soon. I will say, they do look good. They make small stock-sized tires look not so small.

    Thank you.
I just came back to edit my post with that information after BFG got back to me.
Earlier this yr Discount told me May. Went to buy a set today and was told they were unavailable, with no launch date.

Think they have made an error in telling you that - that one has always said August 2025 for me, since over a year ago. At Discount’s website.

I don't know if I'm ever going to get my fox elite's installed, but for now I have some brand new BFG K03's in stock size 265/70/16 load range D via Costco. So far I'm very happy with them. Just from driving around town and on the freeway these ride so much quieter and smoother than the old Toyo Open Country AT3's. I do notice the stiffer sidewalls on these BFG K03's and they're noticeably heavier, but I can live with that. They look wild with the white letters out too.

Those look sweet. I’m jealous and want the same size for mine. Really, I want a second set of wheels so I can run them and the Michelins. Totally unnecessary but it’s what I want.

FYI, I’d drop the pressure down to 39 cold. That will maintain the door sticker load.

It's funny how much this particular tire adds to a stock vehicle. Totally changes the look.

Agreed. It’s also funny how I prefer the stock size personally. I think a meaty stock size tire looks a bit better than the 1” larger. Looks less stuffed. Both have plenty of room with no rubbing ever, but the smaller tire seem to fit better to me. And the driving characteristics are better.

If I end up keeping the 3G, I may go with 265/70 KO3s at some point. Although I really do like the Michelins, I could not have a better road tire at this point.

Those look good!! i have 285/70/17 ko2’s that need replacing. Waiting for the white letter ones to come out in that size for load range C. i’m told august. So i should be able to stay patient until then.

Just got mine on. 285/75/17s. Love em! I really like the look so far, a touch more aggressive.

    Itz JDM tyte, yo!
An unfortunate sidewall puncture (thanks construction workers) on my old General Grabber A/TXs necessitated new tires for me. I decided to use that as an excuse to treat myself some new tires. My nearest tire shop (an America's Tire chain store) only have KO3s in stock for my size, so I decided to buy them and get them installed. I also bought the certificate from America's Tire so if that ever happens again, I can get a full refund for my tires or exchange them for free.

My tire size for the KO3s are 265/70R17 E-load. Same size as my previous tires, but went up to E-load from C-load.

So far with first impressions, I dig the look of the tire. Looks nice and aggressive. Second of all, these tires don't generate much road noise compared to my General Grabber A/TX tires (even when the Grabbers were new). The Grabbers generate some road noise even when driving around town. The KO3s have no road noise when driving around town, and I only start to hear a bit of road noise at highway speeds. To those who favor a quiet tire, this tire is for you.

Despite the KO3 tires being E-load, I don't think they ride that much stiffer than my C-load General Grabber A/TX tires. In fact, I thought they ride similar as I went through some potholes and bumps on the road. I verified that I was running the same tire pressures too for both sets of tires (36 psi warm all around).

Really anectodal evidence, but dry pavement traction seems better on the KO3s when I was doing a peel from a stop while turning (like a true ricer).

Will have to report back as I get more miles on my tires and as I take my truck wheeling. My main concern is wet traction, as a buddy of mine in the PNW has a negative experience with the previous KO2's wet traction (although I wouldn't think they'll be a death trap). But I think these tires would serve me well whenever I wheel my truck.

It’s great to hear they’re so quiet. Thanks for the review. Leaning towards these as my next tire even more now.
