I like the 1st gen trucks the most, I think they were and still are some of the best looking compact pickups ever made. I loved the way my '04 looked. The 2nd gen wierds me out, even though I own one, I don't really love the squared off rear wheel wells. 3rd gen brings it back to a body style I like, but still thing the Gen 1's looked the best.

This was my '04, I loved that body style. I shoulda lifted it a bit, would have looked even better.

You aren't kidding there, this truck was cool looking but likely the most uncomfortable seats I have ever experienced.

I agree not just because I have a 2012. But just because of the lines and overall look of the 2012-2015 trucks.
Below is a couple older pics of my 2012 DCSB in more stock form. "minus a few of its current mods"
Good clean simple lines with a little in your face aggressive thrown in.

Second gen pre-update, however with that said I don't like the grille on my 09 x-runner.

Pre-Tacos were the best looking Toyota pickups. ‘82-83 Longbed to be exact. No lift and 31s.

Best looking Tacos are the 2001-04 Extra Cabs. I see a bit of the early 80s styling in those. Rounded wheel arches, grill is a bit toothy like the early models.

    Interesting thread.

I've parked next to some cool Tacos.

This one was the best so far!

2004. Love the front grill, tail lights, and small body style of the access cab. Like the rounded body style of the early 2nd gens over the the sharp edges of the newer models.
