I'm looking for help to figure out if a access cap long bed would be better then a double cab short bed for a off road build with a project M in the back, (there's a access cap long bed in my area for a good price with a lift kit, flood lights and grill protector) also don't got a big budget for a build.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
They are the same wheelbase. What cab/bed configuration meets your needs/wants better?

If you do not need the rear seating space, 100% go with the longer bed option.

The extra bed space will be useful for camping. Every inch counts in these tiny beds.
