Got to work on the fender. It’s blasted and cleaned. I set a timer so I can keep track of time spent on it. So far it’s 35 min. Going to kinda cheat because I have some parts for my self that I want to powder coat the same color so just throwing in the fender with my stuff or the other way around. I really don’t see more than an hour total into the fender. So $100 for the fender and maybe $30 in materials. The most expensive thing is my blast media. I need to get more now.
The KLX swap will happen tomorrow. He should be here by 11-12. I am excited to get mine together. Something different!!! It’s better than buying another different bike. Should keep me happy until next year when the 2025s start showing up in the used market.

So I did find a couple spots on the fender that would need attention. You can use JB weld on parts that will be powder coated because it can handle the heat of the oven. I sent the guy a message asking if he wants them addressed. Told him I would have to charge extra for the work. We will see what he says. Should be too hard to fix it. I think the hardest will be the scrap on the edge.

Well he said not to worry about them. Hopefully it turns out ok. We will see.

Just out of curiosity, how much extra would you have charged to fix things?

$50?? I have never done it before but it wouldn’t be too hard. I have a real hard time charging for my time. I am just too nice and like to do things for people. I almost want to do it for free just to see how it would go.

Just found out my BF (best friend not boy friend lol) from HS is riding his Harley up from Oregon the last week of this month. We will definitely be going on a ride together. He has a 2023 street glide fast Eddie addition. Can’t wait to see him as it’s been about 5 years. Too long really.

Damn, at that price....I would have done it. I would imagine that even at $150, it's cheaper than what he was quoted....maybe :notsure:

That word of mouth will probably be worth more than the $50 you were gonna charge. Gonna surprise the guy or tell him you're doing it?

Friend of mine is selling one of his bikes. Thought I'd share. He takes great care of stuff, and doesn't cheap out on any mods if he does any. I don't really know anything else about the bike. My wife bought her quad from him. Stand up guy.

He's got a lot of upgrades on that bike. Exhaust with cat delete and all kinds of brass and custom trim. Turn signal mods too.

Is that one that expands upwards, too, if needed?

Customer/friend of mine is a bigwig at a major motorcycle company, brought me some swag from the GP. I'd never wear something so obnoxious in public, but I appreciate the thought

I'm so middle aged divorced dad I just wear plain colours now. I let the kid wear the flash. I don't think I could wear any of that stuff except the hoodie. I like the hoodie.

My mom used to buy me ///M stuff when I owned a 325i lol
