2018 tacoma noise cold start.

    This Tacoma with a 2.7 engine just made noise for the first time today. I was shocked and shut off the engine. Tried again and it took a few cranks and started. No noise. I changed my motor oil and filter.
    i have just retired after 49 years rebuilding Transmission . This is a new deal for me. A engine tech I know told me to try and replace the rubber gasket inside the valve cover . Under the solenoid.

    Does anyone have any other ideas
