On my 2019 Tacoma SR Access Cab, 4x4 that I bought used in late March 2025, I have noticed that when I turn on the AC and after 30 mins or so, I notice some water drops on the all weather mat on the passenger side. It is coming from the bottom of the dash below the glove compartment, passenger side.

Any ideas as to what is causing this? Any quick DIY solutions?

Definitely want to avoid taking my truck to the dealership for this minor inconvenience.

I did check underneath the truck to verify AC drain line does in fact drip water after I park and turn off my truck.

I know it's AC related cause I don't see water on the floor board or mat when the AC is not in use.

    Thanks in advance!

Vacuum the drain, it may be partially blocked

If its condensation from the evaparator case, (sweating on the outside) are you running the Ac setting on outside air ? If yes, run on recirc, as it dries the air much better

Yes, as @Clearwater Bill says, clean your AC condensate drain with a vacuum or a flexible plastic pokey-tube. You'll find it on the firewall as a short rubber fitting with kind of a slotted opening at the end.

I sometimes run the AC with outside air and also with recirc AC too.

Yes, as a poster replied to me on another post, that Black tube protruding from the firewall is my truck's pee pee. LOL

So, you are suggesting I insert a flexible tube pipe into this Black drain pipe and push it thru back and forth to clear any blockage? Or, attach a hose from my wet dry vacuum and turn it on?

apparently its a feature. i have to run mine on recirculate to avoid this. I dislike the recirculate mode because it changes the pitch of the fan just enough to be annoying.

i’ve done it both ways. Be sure if you poke it clear that you use something gentle enough not to damage the evaporator inside the cab. The vacuum approach has value in that regard.

Clearwater Bill, I drove for over 9 hours today with AC recirc and no water drops on passenger floor mat! Running the AC with recirc is the way to go from now on but every now and then, I will run with outside fresh air. Thanks for the tip!
