I cut my finger with a chainsaw a little over a month ago so feel your pain, literally. I hit my left index finger at the knuckle. Cut through some stuff but just super glued it back together and wrapped it up. Since I didn't get surgery it doesnt bend as far anymore and lost the feeling of the top half of my finger. Still swollen quite a bit and hurts like hell every time I hit it on something.

Glad your back at it bud. I had to work the next day since working on Toyota's is my main gig but I managed to get it done with 9 fingers.
Injuries blow, ask me how I know, haha.

Jeebus Jason! I’m all for self-surgery but I have my limits for when I need to go see a professional. Haha. I did something similar a while back when I was using a cut off wheel with no guard on the grinder and no gloves. I chocked up too far on the grinder and slid my knuckle into the spinning wheel and didn’t feel the pain right away, just heat. I avoided major damage but I got into the bone a bit. Super glue and painters tape and I was back at it. Mainstays in the toolbox for sure.

    Yikes!

Hey so what do you use to bend the inner fenders/aprons when doing UCA on Tacomas? I've tried all sorts of different concoctions, and found these to be the best.

Had my buddy at work weld them up for me. Let me know what you think, or if you have something better.

Dang Dave! Sacrificed some MAC pliers for that- I would’ve gone with Pittsburgh. :anonymous:

I just use some deep throat channel locks, nothing fancy, but I come in at an angle to bend the little piece over in sections so I don’t gouge the sheet metal and leave tool marks. The trick is to get high up towards the bend so you don’t fold the metal over midway if that makes sense. It’s really easy, but I’ve done so many of them, I lost count and don’t even think about it anymore. I’m sure you’re the same.
