    Hi everyone.
Trying to DIY a rear differential drain and refill on 2WD prerunner. Fill plug will not budge.... using 24 MM socket and PB blaster. Any ideas ? Seems like it needs an impact driver b/c it is torqued so tight. Any ideas appreciated ! frustrating, seems like a straight forward job.

You'll need a new plug regardless, so dont continue unless you've drained it.

Use a large chisel, put a large dent in the edge of the plug, then "walk" the plug loose by hitting the dent with the chisel loose.

Use a breaker bar or a pipe over the ratchet

Another option is buy an extractor socket off Amazon (likely won’t find a 24mm locally). It will come right off.
