Where to purchase exhaust manifolds

Up in the great white North ( Canada ) .
The salt has corroded my exhaust manifolds on my 2010 Tacoma , 4 liter engine with 4x4 .
Dealer wants 3k per side
Seems kinda pricey for manifolds ???
Anyone have any aftermarket alternatives ?

 

Are headers available?

 

If the cats are still good, you might try some short headers and having the cats transplanted. I had my exhaust guy take a look at some JBA Cat 4Wards and he at least said they would be fine to work with.

 

The Toyota OEM manifolds are a lot less expensive in the US for the same part. I recently purchased some from Olathe Toyota, had them shipped to Buffalo, and drove across the border to pick them up. Price was a close to 1/3 in the US vs. Canada. The exhaust manifolds are the only exhaust component that was much less expensive in the US... all other exhaust parts were similar between US and Canada (after giving consideration to the exchange rate).

 

My beast sounds like 5 harleys flying by at 90 mph currently .
I use the truck for hunting .
Yah , I can put headers on but I would prefer to keep the beast as quiet as possible .
Found some new manifolds on Amazon and Ebay , but they all have horrible reviews

I may consider some manifolds from a wrecking yard , beef them up and throw them on

 

Might get lucky at a wrecking yard

With that much rust I'm worried about the studs and fasteners tho

 

Got all stainless stuff ordered for the hardware .
I will turn the original factory fasteners to liquid with oxy/acetlyne .

 

I have a passenger side manifold from a 2007 that was working fine when removed. I’d sell it to your for $100. I was planning on scrapping it after I installed headers.

 

I have headers as well. Do you just live with the check engine light or did you bypass? Just curious as I had mine bypassed but the module looks like it’s gone bad after about 10 years.

Could always try those. With a CARB EO number I would have to imagine they are reasonably quiet and still allow stock cat utilization. That said I have ZERO idea on the logistical requirements of installing these on the truck, as I only see what looks like a slip fit on the collector.

I put some antifoulers on the rear O2 sensors and haven’t had any issues with a check engine light.

 

Have you looked at UAE sellers? Typically with shipping they are still cheaper than even the US.

No, antifoulers basically just move the O2 sensors away from the exhaust stream a bit. They’re just spacers.

There’s a guy on YouTube that shows you how to make your own simulator with a capacitor and resistor for $3.

 

I had to replace the drivers side manifold on my 2011 last year. They couldn’t find an OEM manifold. Every dealer said they were back ordered. You could only find the one with the air injector crap thing on it. Which doesn’t fit. Had to buy used from a scrap yard and even that wasn’t that simple

 

Facebook marketplace usually has some Tacomas listed that are being parted out. You may want to look there.
