    exciting news, we have a functioning supercharger setup! Mostly! lol. so, i have never messed with hondata before, i uploaded my base tune from the guy that will be doing the tuning once its back on the road. I went to start the car and it immediately fired up and then died. I went over things quite a few times and it just kept doing the same thing. So i swapped out for the stock ecu to see if it was my tune upload that i did incorrectly. The car fired up. It wasnt happy with the bigger injectors, but it fired up and held an idle pretty well. i let it run for about 20-30 seconds but no longer than that because i didnt want to wash out a piston with all of the extra fuel dumping in the car. Let me tell you, she was running just a tad rich lol. so i will go back through and make sure i did the upload process correctly and try to start the car again and then really check for leaks. There was one fuel leak i fixed (dummy me accidentally double washered one side of the fuel hose at the filter connection). my boost gauge read right around -20, which i've read is perfectly fine. I was super relived to hear it fire up and no crazy noises, other than the added noise of the supercharger, which is delightful.

    now onto the last 10% of this. Check for leaks with the car running on the correct tune, swap out my ITR intake cam for a GSR intake cam, finish my fuel pump relay install, finish the wide band install, finish the gauges, and reassemble. Hopefully just a couple more weekends before i take her around the block for the first time in 2 years!

    Haven't been on TW in awhile. Life has been in the way. But good to see you're still making progress!

    I got a 96 GS-R sedan last September. 3 weeks later I got a 98 LS coupe. The LS needs the TPS calibrated but I just can't get the numbers right. Have you ever calibrated a throttle position sensor before?

    I have! What numbers are you getting? I never get them exact, but they are really close. I've always got the idle voltage closer to spec than the WOT, just because the car spends more time there than at WOT.

    I attempted this last February so I forgot the numbers but it was something like .02. I forgot which setting on the multimeter I was using but I was trying different ones. From what I’ve seen online and on YouTube, the dial should be in the 10 o’clock position (DCV, 20) right?

    i tried it with 2 different multimeters, although they were similar models from Harbor Freight.

    is it better to do it while the car is running? I was doing it while the key was in the On position (III) but the battery already had a kow charge.

    Alright, we are going to make some real good progress this weekend. For almost a month i've been fighting with this thing running super rich, not running right, not holding an idle, and randomly running on 3 cyilnders. i swapped out the jumper harness for the ECU, changed plugs, cap and rotor, and went through 2 base tunes. I actually thought i had washed out a cylinder with the way it was running and from running way too rich. checked compression in the motor and its near 215 across all 4 cylinders, so thats not it. Then, I had an AH HA moment after talking with a friend. He said, make sure you dont have a plug wire crossed somehow. So i double checked that and that was good. Then I started thinking, these motors have a specific firing order and the wires need to correlate with that. That means the injectors have a specific firing order....I wonder if I goofed up the wiring. Sure enough, I did. I must have lost sight of the wire colors between the jumper harness and the obd1 injector and I had swapped cylinder 2 and 3 for where they were supposed to be. Swapped them back and magically it runs great. This weekend i'm going to readjust the fuel pressure (down a good bit), clean up the plugs since they are quite fueled up now, finish the wide band install and get a good data log to the tuner, and run the car to operating temps so i can finish the coolant system and check for leaks on the car. After that, just finalize the gauge wiring and setup and put the car back together. Oh and brakes. From the car sitting for almost 2 years, rotors are all rusted up so those need freshened up a bit.

    Wiring is all sorted finally, but I did not make as much progress this weekend as I had hoped. I swapped out the type r cam for the gsr cam on the intake side, and found where oil had been leaking behind the timing cover, onto the belt, etc... so now i've ordered a new timing belt, camshaft seals, etc... Adding stuff to the list!
