What's this?

I cannot seem to locate any info in the owner's manual on this. What is the purpose of the vertical bar (with the orange) on the left side of the center screen?

 

It's the scrolling bar.

 

Do you mean the right side? You can scroll up or down with the steering wheel. That bar indicates where you have scrolled to.

it's the scroll bar. every press down accesses a different 'customizable' screen from a number of pre-conditioned options selectable under the gear icon.

i find all of the one's they offer absolutely useless. i want TEMPS of everything that has a sensor.

for the second part, the color can be changed in the screen settings, under the gear icon, all the way to the right. unfortunately, only the upper bar under the icon list, and the scroll bar are the only things that change color. so again, it's mostly insignificant.

 

Lol, I absolutely know about the color change in the settings, let me clarify I was being sarcastic about the question.

 

i understood your sarcasm, my response was in consideration of the audience surrounding the conversation.

 

Sometimes it’s hard for me to refrain myself I need to be more considerate and have empathy for other members. I usually do pretty well but sometimes it gets the best of me.

 

yeah, once it's clear the OP knows and understands the real answers, i'm all for devolving any subject into entertainment-value flat earth theories on vehicle registration processes.

 

Mine's yellow...or gold. Yeah, gold; sounds classier than yellow.

It also changes the color of the fuel economy bar. Still mostly insignificant though.




Edit: maybe time to clean the cluster lens. Again.
