I was wondering if the 3rd gen Tacoma 2wd 2tr-fe uses the same R155 transmission reason for asking found someone parting out a 2017 Tacoma and was wondering if this transmission is better than the 2nd gen version

The 2017 is an R156F. They had different ratios for 1st, 2nd, & 5th gears and also had an upgraded triple cone synchro on 1st gear. They only came in the 4wd flavor in 2017 from what I understand. Im running one in my 2009. Bolted right up
