I installed a new carrier bearing and u joints today on my 06, and after completing the job realized that i did not reinstall the thin washer that sat between the carrier bearing and yoke before driving the bearing in with the yoke. No crazy vibes after, and did actually solve a shudder i was having upon accelration.

Has anyone else forgot to install this thin washer? Did you have any issues because of it? Seems like it might not be worth breaking back down again unless i start to have issues (and i think the washer got thrown away so i'd need to order)?

It will probably decrease the lifespan of the carrier bearing/yoke as they are making direct contact now. Not sure how long that will decrease the lifespan though. Could be 10%. Could be 50%..

I personally wouldn't worry about it unless you want to do everything again. I wouldn't.
