If your truck is in good shape and accessories are almost new you still won't get much more for it but they will turn around and sell it for more money because of its condition to the next buyer. So take em off if you can and sell the accessories to members on TW.

My local dealers are offering about the same as Carmax/Carvana recently. Apparently auction pricing has been out of line lately. But as stated above, aftermarket items aren't really raising the offer prices. Mileage and condition are, as far as I can tell.

also keep in mind, some/many dealers don't even want modified vehicles, they want turn-n-burn not that one special buyer. So dealers certainly won't pay more, and often even less.

I wouldn’t sell anything to carvana … just get the offers and take it to a local dealer to get it matched or private sell it .

I sold 3 cars in the last few years (one mine and 2 for family members). I tried dealers, Carvana and the other usuals.

In each case, I was able to get 2x the best offer by selling direct. One (A low mileage LC) sold for MORE than 3x the best offer from any company - despite the fact they all salivated over it!

Its simple; - No one but an end-user will pay full market rate. All others will need to make some profit - at your expense.

Agreed ^. I think also, huge factor is access to cash. Who has $5k, $10k or more in cash? The higher you go, the lower the base of potential buyers with that kind of funding exist. Then once you find someone with >$15k, they are looking hard at new or dealer CPO. People need the financing and dealers make that easy.

A lot of people, especially those not mechanically inclined these days are probably a little cautious with private used sales and dealers offering them CPO, some kind of car-fax, check-lists etc. put them at ease and they are willing to pay 10-20% higher than a similar make/model on the private market.

BLUF: Special interest cars (Mustang, classics, stuff enthusiasts look for) and CHEAP are probably the only things you can reasonably expect to sell privately in a short time frame with ease.

Fellas Fellas! Plenty of me to go around! Sorry about the delay, I've been a literal potato since my shoulder injury!

Silver 2020 Double Cab Long Bed! Has an alu-cab canopy, James Baroud Evasion, Sherpa Roof Rack, 2 roam cases and some other inside stuff. 125k miles. I'm giving it a clean before I take some photos and posting it. Probably post the whole kit on TW before Facebook.

North Shore, MA but would drive for one of y'all in the state.

You just convinced me to buy the other truck with less miles and no accessories. Maybe if was just a color matched fiberglass shell and no roof rack, and the cap wasn't included in the price. I don't want to spend money on something I don't want, and I know you would prefer to make something off your accessories. I can go anywhere and find a SR5 DCLB.
