How much did I pay for my shell? Well, I bought my 2019 Taco TRD Offroad SR5 V6 3.5L used from a GMC dealership and the TruckHero Undercover Elite one-piece hardshell tonneau came with the truck. So I reckon I paid $24,100 for it. TruckHero now sells under the RealTruck namebrand. Last I saw, the RealTruck Undercover Elite retails for $1300.

I prefer folding tonneaus for more versatility. So I swapped out the one-piece hardshell for a tri-fold metal tonneau. I found a metal tri-fold tonneau from VEVOR for about $250 back in January but I think they're up to $348 now. It's still a good deal. It's very robust aluminum/foam-core/aluminum construction. You have the convenience of folding and the security of metal instead of fabric.

I'm new here so soon as I reach 50 posts I'm fixing to sell my one-piece hardshell for cheaps over on the Buy/Sell/Trade subforum.
